First Impression:
I took my wedding party here… YUP Sure did - and absolutely would do it again. Now we only had a group of 7 but from service, food and overall vibe this ended up being a huge hit of our group.
I did call ahead to try to reserve a table, they do not take reservations it’s first come first serve! When we arrived, we checked in and was told it would be about 30 minutes. We got a text in 15 minutes that our table was ready!
Atmosphere:
The basement /den vibe was so neat and we were actually seated at the table right underneath people walking/standing above us! From neon lighting, dimmed lighting and vintage decor this bar and grill had something for our entire party without flaw.
Food:
The food was absolutely incredible.. so good I’ve craved it so much since we left. We will be making the drive - no doubt.
We had the chili burger + jalapeño cheeseburger and was drooling at how good it was! Their basket fries - YUM!
But don’t let our order fool you - this isn’t just a burger joint. They had a wide range menu available to pick from and are the same items that were available in the 70’s and 80’s
Service:
Our server (I WISH I GRABBED HIS NAME) was amazing and patient with our party. As well as the other staff that were ready to serve if tables around us/or us needed anything!
Hugo’s became one of our top 5’s that night. And forever will recommend to anyone visiting the Fayetteville, Arkansas area.
And had no idea the history or story behind it beforehand! If you aren’t aware - like I was 😉 this beautifully thought out basement/den eatery has been a solid since the 1977. It’s been kept up with it’s original vibe becoming a spot for locals/tourist traveling through!
